How We Lost Our Country

August 16th, 2011

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always

followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;

From spiritual faith to great courage;

From courage to liberty;

From liberty to abundance;

From abundance to complacency;

From complacency to apathy;

From apathy to dependence;

From dependence back into bondage.”

The Obituary follows:

Born 1776, Died 2012

It doesn’t hurt to read this several times.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29

Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2

McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…”

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s – and they vote – then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

“Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not.”

Dear American Taxpayer, from Michelle Obama

For only the second time in my adult life, I am not ashamed of my country. I want to thank the hard working American people for paying $242 thousand dollars for my vacation in Spain .

My daughter Sasha, several long-time family friends, my personal staff and various guests had a wonderful time. Honestly, you just haven’t lived until you have stayed in a $2,500.00 per night private 3-story villa at a 5-Star luxury hotel.

Thank you also for the use of Air Force Two and the 70 Secret Service personnel who tagged along to be sure we were safe and cared for at all times. By the way, if you happen to be visiting the Costa del Sol, I highly recommend the Buenaventura Plaza restaurant in Marbella ; great lobster with rice and oysters! I’m ashamed to admit the lobsters we ate in Martha’s Vineyard were not quite as tasty, but what can you do if you’re not in Europe , you have to just grin and bear it?

Air Force Two (which costs $11,351 per hour to operate according to Government Accounting Office reports) only used 47,500 gallons of jet fuel for this trip and carbon emissions were a mere 1,031 tons of CO2. These are only rough estimates, but they are close. That’s quite a carbon footprint as my good friend Al Gore would say, so we must ask the American citizens to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars and drive less too, so we can lessen our combined carbon footprint.

I know times are hard and millions of you are struggling to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet. So I do appreciate your sacrifices and do hope you find work soon.

I was really exhausted after Barack took our family on a luxury vacation in Maine a few weeks ago. I just had to get away for a few days.

Cordially,

Michelle (Moochelle) Obama

P.S. Thank you as well for the $2 BILLION dollar trip to India from which we just returned!

P.SS. Thank you, too, for that vacation trip to Martha’s Vineyard ; it was fabulous. And thanks for that second smaller jet that took our dog Bo along with the VERY necessary media people to Martha’s Vineyard, so we and the children could have him with us while we were away from the White House for eleven days.

P.SSS. Oh, I almost forgot to say thanks also for our two-week trip to Hawaii at Christmas. That 7,000 square foot house was great!

Love ya!

Remember we all have to share the pain of these economic times equally! Love to -redistribute- share- the wealth.

Code Words of the Mass Media, Lies, Politicians, and Corruption

August 1st, 2011

It seems that every time I read one of the mainstream media outlets these days I see them redefining the meaning of words.  Simple terms like recovery, recession, inflation.  These words have had a well-defined meaning over the years, and the meanings have not changed.  One place they do seem to have a fluid definition is the mainstream media.

I decided that I should put together a list of these changing, or code, words so that I could keep track of how they are redefined to suit a particular political climate or the agenda of a news organization.  Even making that statement makes me cringe – “agenda of a news organization” – as if they are supposed to have any agenda other than bringing unbiased news to the public.

For probably 50 years now that has not been the case.  The “news” these organizations promote is not news at all, but biased editorializations that have no real connection to the original news they are supposed to be about.

Anyway, here is my list of code words – words that mean something different than what they are intended to mean:

  • Recession – We are really in a depression, but that word is a vote killer, so the politicians lie.
  • Recovery – I’ve read everywhere from Associated Press to Fox News that the “recovery has slowed”.  There is no recovery and there has not been since the economic crash.  People are not going back to work, foreclosures are up and housing is down, businesses are going bankrupt, families are going bankrupt.  Things are not getting better.
  • Quantitative Easing- Let’s not mince words here.  Printing money when there is no value behind it is criminal and causes inflation.  Any time that you dilute anything in the real world or the economic world you diminish its value, and that includes money.  Quantitative Easing, or causing inflation, it nothing but devaluing of the dollar, which is actually devaluing of the work force’s value.  The criminals in D.C. are devaluing the value of our work and causing us to work harder to live.
  • Economic Stimulus – Stealing money from working Americans to give to foreign countries, large corporations, and the political structure itself.  Does nothing to help anyone except the friends of the politicians that voted for it.
  • Economic Growth – Usually a number that comes out every quarter that is supposed to make us all feel warm and fuzzy because it sounds like it comes from growth.  It is in fact a fudged number that is meaningless.  When they say “economic growth has slowed” they are really saying that the downturn in the economy is worse and we are sliding faster, but still down, a slippery slope.

What this all boils down to is deception.  Deceiving someone is lying to them.  The politicians lie to us continually, if not directly then indirectly, with the deceptive wording they use.

Things are bad and are going to become much worse.  They have to.  We are over-extended and our entire government is on loan from a private bank.  A private bank that owns our government in the same way that your local bank owns your house or your car.  If you have any doubt about what will happen, stop making the payments and see who ends up with possession of what you think is yours.  The bank can motivate you to pay using whatever legal means are at their disposal, and in the same light the Federal Reserve bank can motivate our government with whatever ideals and morals the owners have, to make us pay.  Sound like organized crime?  It works the same way.  At least with the Mafia you knew what you were getting and there was a code of “honor”.  With the politicians you never know what is right and what is wrong.  Politicians are worse than a drunken whore.

Any doubts?  Look up the facts associated with the above and find out for yourself.

Prices Are Not going Up the Value of Our Dollar is Going Down

June 2nd, 2011

Prices are not going up. The value of our dollar is going down. You can still buy a gallon of gas for a silver dime.

Our politicians took us off the gold standard years ago because they could not manipulate the prices of gold, but they could manipulate the value of the paper money. They could then make us work as hard as they wanted for as little value as they wanted to give us for that work.

We’re screwed. They have taken power and control, and we have let them. All we can do now is prepare for the ultimate crash when the streets will be littered with people that did not prepare, and are willing to take from you to survive. This preplanned collapse will finally end in the population’s capitulation as they are herded into work camps for their own good. Most, not having learned how to self-sustain, will march to the slaughter as good little sheep.

Police Murder Jose Guerena

May 27th, 2011

Once again participants in our fascist police state have assassinated an innocent man.  Here is a reprint of a story that describes how this family man and veteran was murdered in his own home.  A man targeted and SUSPECTED of drug trafficking.  No charges, no warrant.  Someone is suspected and so the police send in SWAT as opposed to obtaining a warrant and making a proper arrest.  What happened to due process?  It went out the window with the Patriot Act.  Citizen assassinations are now legal and this is just another indication that a lot of local police departments are taking advantage of their new-found fascist powers.

Reprinted from Lew Rockwell site:

Jose, a former Marine who served two combat tours abroad, had taken that job to provide for his young family after mustering out of the Corps. Jose had devoted the last hours of his life to producing wealth. Meanwhile, his killers were planning to lay siege to several homes in the neighborhood as part of the Regime’s Narcotics Price Support Program, the murderous charade sometimes called the “War on Drugs.”

Jose was able to get just a tiny amount of sleep before being startled awake by the terrified screams of his wife, who had seen a large party of armed men approaching them. One of them pointed a rifle at her; another shattered a window. None of them, she insists, identified himself as a police officer – not that this would make a substantive difference in moral or even legal terms.

“I saw this guy pointing me at the window,” Vanessa recalled in a subsequent television interview. “So, I got scared. And, I got like, ‘Please don’t shoot, I have a baby.’ I put my baby [down]. [And I] put bag in window. And, I yell ‘Jose! Jose! Wake up!’”

According to his wife, Jose’s last words were: “Vani, go into the closet with the kid. Go!” He then grabbed his AR-15 and went to confront the people who threatened his family. Seven seconds later, he was dead. His killers unleashed a fusillade of 71 shots.

Given that the marksmanship of the typical tax-feeder is on a par with that of the Imperial Stormtroopers from Star Wars, it’s likely that only a handful of the gunshots hit their marks, but that was enough. Jose was killed before he could pull the trigger. That doesn’t alter the fact that he died on his feet, with his face to the enemy as he shielded his family against criminal aggression.

Neither Jose nor Vanessa had a criminal record. Nobody in their household took part in commerce involving non-government-approved mood-altering substances, and no evidence was found to suggest otherwise.

In the immediate aftermath of the murder, Jose’s killers – in keeping with established custom – began to traduce the victim’s reputation, claiming that the slain husband and father was a violent suspect who had fired the first shot, and that a ballistic shield had probably saved the life of one of the assailants. This version of events was dutifully regurgitated by an initially uncritical local media.

Jose’s reputation was allowed to steep in that falsehood for several days before the PCSO grudgingly admitted the truth. “A deputy’s bullet struck the side of the doorway, causing chips of wood to fall on his shield,” recounted the Arizona Daily Star, paraphrasing an account provided by PCSO functionary Michael O’Connor. “That prompted some members of the team to think the deputy had been shot.”

The PCSO wasn’t through bemerding the memory of Jose Geurena, however.

In the new version peddled by the department, Guerena supposedly used his final seconds this side of eternity to channel Tony Montana, crouching down and growling: “I have something for you!”

The people who gunned Jose down – who are hardly disinterested witnesses – claim that he knew that he was drawing bead on law enforcement personnel. This is not what happened, even though Jose had every moral and legal right to use lethal force to defend his home from an unlawful invasion.

S&P cuts long-term outlook for US debt to negative

April 18th, 2011

NEW YORK (AP) — Standard & Poor’s Ratings Service cut its outlook Monday on the United States’ sovereign debt, saying there is a one in three chance it will downgrade the rating on the debt in the next two years.

The agency lowered the long-term outlook to "Negative" from "Stable."

It reaffirmed its investment-grade credit ratings on the U.S. long- and short-term debt itself, but said the ratings are at risk from the country’s growing deficit.

S&P said the U.S. has a high-income, diversified and flexible economy that has helped it to encourage growth while containing inflation.

But the country’s ballooning deficit could offset those positives over the next two years.

The agency noted that the deficit grew to 11 per cent of gross domestic income in 2009. That is much higher than the average of two per cent to five per cent in the previous six years.

S&P said it has little confidence that the White House and Congress will agree on a deficit-reduction plan before the fall 2012 elections. By that time, the measures won’t go into effect until the fiscal year 2014.Ob1

"We see the path to agreement as challenging because the gap between the parties remains wide," said Standard & Poor’s credit analyst Nikola G. Swann.

Mary Miller, assistant secretary for financial markets, said S&P "underestimates the ability of America’s leaders to come together to address the difficult fiscal challenges facing the nation."
